Independently licensed, master’s prepared professionals, including:

  1. Psychologist
  2. Social Worker
  3. Counselor
  4. Marriage and Family Therapist
  5. Occupational Therapist
  6. Speech Language Pathologist
  7. Psychiatric Nurse

Training Requirements

A minimum of 18 hours of continuing education in specific autism topics. Learn more about ASDCS certification training requirements.

Pre-approved, 3rd party trainings that meet the training requirements for ASDCS certification include:

  1. Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist Intensive Training (ASDCS) by PESI - Certification Included!
  2. Autism Certification Course: Strengths-Based CBT, Behavior, Sensorimotor, Social Strategies & More by PESI - Certification Included!
  3. Affirming Neurodiversity with Strengths- and Abilities-Based Interventions by PESI - Certification Included!

Please note that Evergreen Certifications does not offer continuing education, all training must be purchased directly through the accredited training organization. Training is not included in the certification fee.

Additional Requirements

The applicant must attest that over the course of their career, they have a minimum of 100 clinical contact hours with clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder traits and/or diagnosis.

Application Process

  1. Complete a qualifying training
  2. Remit your initial application payment of 249.99 USD online
  3. Upload the following documents to your account:
    1. A copy of the candidate’s professional license
    2. Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CE or completion certificate
    3. A completed ASDCS application form

Renewal

To maintain ASDCS certification, a renewal is required after your initial 2-year certification. A 2-year renewal requires 12 clock hours of continuing education related to Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Renewal CPD content cannot be the same content used for prior renewal or initial certification

Renewal Process

  1. Complete a qualifying training
  2. Upload the following documents to your account:
    1. A copy of the candidate’s professional license
    2. Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CE or completion certificate
  3. Remit your ASDCS renewal fee of 149.99 USD online
