To be eligible for CBECDP certification, the applicant must have earned a minimum of a master’s degree in their profession and hold a state or national license as listed above, with all training hours and supervision requirements completed to be licensed for independent practice in the state they are licensed.

Review Panel Discssion
This panel discusses a necessary paradigm shift related to diet culture, common hurdles and challenges faced by providers and how to address them. Applicants must watch this panel discussion which will be provided upon applying for the certification.

Application Process:
For your initial 2-year certification, please complete the following steps.
- Complete a qualifying training
- Review panel discussion
- Complete required reading
- Upload the following documents to your account:
- A copy of the candidate’s professional license
- Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CE or completion certificate
- A completed application form, found here
- Remit your initial application payment of 199.99 USD online
Evergreen Certifications will certify applicants who meet the above requirements.
Please note: Certification does not imply endorsement of clinical competency. As a licensed professional, you are responsible for reviewing the scope of practice, including activities that are defined in law as beyond the boundaries of practice in accordance with and in compliance with your profession’s standards.
Renewal Process:
To maintain CBECDP certification, a renewal is required after your initial 2-year certification. A 2-year renewal requires 12 hours of continuing education.

- Effective treatment modalities for the areas above
- Six remained hours must be related to binge eating and or chronic dieting in relation to trauma that does not harm

Renewal CE content cannot be the same content used for prior renewal or initial certification
Renewals are calculated from the date that your certification was issued. If you allow your certification to lapse for more than 2 years, you are no longer eligible to renew your certification and instead can reapply for certification

Amy Pershing, LMSW, ACSW - LMSW, ACSW
Amy Pershing, LMSW, ACSW, is the Founder of Bodywise, the first binge eating disorder (BED)-specific treatment program in the United States, founded in 1995. She is the Director of Pershing Consulting, which offers training to clinicians treating BED around the world. Amy is also the creator of "Hungerwise™," a 9-week program for ending chronic dieting and weight cycling using the Attuned Eating And Movement approach, offered nationally online. Based on over 30 years of clinical experience, Amy has pioneered a treatment approach for BED that is strengths-based, incorporating Internal Family Systems, somatic trauma techniques, Attuned Eating and Movement, and a Health at Every Size philosophy. Amy lectures internationally and writes extensively on the treatment of BED and her own recovery journey for both professional and lay communities. She has been featured on radio, podcast, and television speaking about BED treatment and recovery, relapse prevention, weight stigma, and attuned eating and movement. Marcella Raimondo - PhD, MPH
Marcella Raimondo, PhD, MPH, is a passionate and spirited clinical trainer speaking from her heart on social justice and eating disorders since 1995. Dr. Raimondo is a psychologist in Kaiser Permanente's eating disorder clinic in Oakland and runs a private practice. In 1997, Dr. Raimondo worked with About-Face, a nonprofit organization that addresses media impact on body image, serving as the Director of Media Literacy until 2005. Today she is on the About-Face Board of Founders and a consultant. Dr. Raimondo is on the Advisory Board for the Association of Size Health and Diversity (ASDAH), on the Advisory Board of Eating Disorder Recovery Support (ERDS) as Past President and serves as Co-Chair of the Academy of Eating Disorders Diversity Equity and Inclusion committee. Dr. Raimondo recovered from anorexia nervosa over 20 years ago. Her recovery and her martial arts training inspire her dedication to multicultural body nurturance and community celebration.
