To be eligible for certification, the applicant must have earned a minimum of a master’s degree in their profession and hold a state or national license as listed above, with all training hours and supervision requirements completed to be licensed for independent practice in the state they are licensed.

Please note that Evergreen Certifications does not offer continuing education, all training must be purchased directly through the accredited training organization. Training is not included in the certification fee.
Consultation:
Group Consultation: Attendance to 3 (2) hour session and present 1 case during that time. Applicant must complete sessions within one year.
Note: Applicants will be able to continue monthly group consultation for one year – they will have access to a google group for collaborative support.
Case Presentation Requirements:
Cases can be an individual, couple or group that you think represents the IRT model of treatment.
- Presenting Problem: What brought them into therapy?
- Why are they really there? Upon assessment what do you think is the actual systemic issue?
- What you have done well: How have you applied Integrative Relationship Therapy?
- Countertransference: What do you feel when you are in the room/zoom with them?
- Specific issue to address: Goal for treatment, treatment plan, future considerations, and/or a question you have about them.
Application Process:
For your initial 2-year certification, please complete the following steps.
- Complete a qualifying training
- Complete clinical consultation
- Upload the following documents to your account:
- A copy of the candidate’s professional license
- Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CE or completion certificate
- A completed application form, found here
- Completed consultation form
Evergreen Certifications will certify applicants who meet the above requirements.
Please note: Certification does not imply endorsement of clinical competency. As a licensed professional, you are responsible for reviewing the scope of practice, including activities that are defined in law as beyond the boundaries of practice in accordance with and in compliance with your profession’s standards.
Renewal Process:
To maintain C-IRT certification, a renewal is required after your initial 2-year certification. A 2-year renewal requires 12 CE hours from the pre-approved options below.

Renewal Process
- Complete a qualifying training
- Renewal requires one hour per year (2 total hours) in each of the below topic areas
- Gender diversity/orientation
- Multicultural issues within relationship
- Trauma within relationships
- Six remained hours must be related to couples and relationship therapy
- Renewal requires one hour per year (2 total hours) in each of the below topic areas
- Upload the following documents to your account:
- A copy of the candidate’s professional registration
- Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a completion certificate
- Remit your C-IRT renewal fee of $99.99 USD online
Renewal training hours need to have been taken in the time since you were certified or last recertified. Renewals are calculated from the date that your certification was issued. If you allow your certification to lapse for more than 2 years, you are no longer eligible to renew your certification and instead can reapply for certification
