Training Requirements

Training Requirements

A minimum of 24 hours of post-graduate level training in specific assessment and treatment topics related to treating sex offenders. Click here for details.

Clinical Practice Requirements

The candidate must attest that, over the course of their career, he/she has completed a minimum of 2,000 clinical hours under supervision, with 200 of those hours specific to the evaluation and treatment of sex offender clients.

  1. Complete a qualifying training
  2. Remit your initial application fee payment of $99.99 USD online
  3. Submit the following application documents to info@evergreencertifications.com
    1. A copy of the candidate’s professional license
    2. Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CEU or completion certificate
    3. A completed application form, found here.
Recertification Process

Recertification

To maintain Certification, a reapplication is required. After your initial 1-year Certification, you have the option to renew for 1, 2 or 3 years. A 1-year renewal requires 6 clock hours of sexual or domestic violence-focused training since you were last Certified; a 2-year renewal requires 12 clock hours, and a 3-year renewal requires 18 hours.

  3. Sex Offender Trauma Informed Care (SOTX) by ITTI

Recertification Process

  1. Complete a qualifying training
  2. Remit your recertification application fee online
  3. Submit the following application documents to info@evergreencertifications.com
    • A copy of the candidate’s professional license
    • Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CEU or completion certificate
