Please note that Evergreen Certifications does not offer CPD, all training must be purchased directly through the accredited training organization. Training is not included in the certification fee.
Application Process:
For your initial 1-year certification, please complete the following steps.
- Complete a qualifying training
- Remit your initial application payment of 149.99 USD online
- Upload the following documents to your account:
- A copy of the candidate’s professional license
- Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CPD or completion certificate
Evergreen Certifications will certify applicants who meet the above requirements.
Please note: Certification does not imply endorsement of clinical competency. As a registered/credentialed professional, you are responsible for reviewing the scope of practice, including activities that are defined in law as beyond the boundaries of practice in accordance with and in compliance with your profession’s standards.
Renewal Process:
To maintain CSAM-CA certification, a renewal is required. After your initial 1-year certification, you have the option to renew for 1, 2 or 3 years. A 1-year renewal requires 6 clock hours of anger treatment-focused continuing education since you were last certified; a 2-year renewal requires 12 clock hours, and a 3-year renewal requires 18 hours.

Renewal CPD content cannot be the same content used for prior renewal or initial certification
Renewal Process

- Remit your CSAM-CA renewal fee online
- $49.99 for a 1-year renewal
- $79.99 for a 2-year renewal
- $99.99 for a 3-year renewal
Renewal training hours need to have been taken in the time since you were certified or last recertified.
Renewals are calculated from the date that your certification was issued. If you allow your certification to lapse for more than 3 years, you are no longer eligible to renew your certification and instead can reapply for certification
Jeffrey Bernstein - PhD
Jeffery Bernstein, PhD, is a licensed counseling psychologist with extensive experience working with children and teens, as well as adults, couples, and families. He completed his post-doctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling Center and holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Bernstein has appeared on the Today Show and Court TV as an expert advisor and frequently presents at conferences for school counselors and mental health professionals.
He is the author of seven books The Anxiety, Depression, & Anger Toolbox for Teens, The Stress Survival Guide for Teens, Mindfulness for Teen Worry, 10 Days to a Less Defiant Child, 10 Days to Less Distracted Child, Liking the Child You Love, and Why Can’t You Read My Mind. Dr. Bernstein has also published the Letting Go of Anger Therapeutic Card Deck, a therapeutic card deck widely used by mental health professionals.
Sherry S. Kelly - PhD
Sherry Skyler Kelly, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist with more than 30 years of experience in the field of child development. She is the founder of PositiviTeens® workshops that bring together the science of Neuropsychology with the powerful evidence-based strategies of Positive Psychology.
Dr. Kelly completed her undergraduate degree in Social Education at Boston University and holds multiple Masters degrees in Psychology from New York University and Yeshiva University. She earned her PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Kelly completed an APA internship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and Clinics. She was a National Cancer Institute Fellow and National Institute of Health (NIH) Fellow in Psycho-Oncology, as well as Neuropsychology, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She has also been an instructor of clinical medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Weill-Cornell Medical School. Most recently, Dr. Kelly was a founding board member of Autism After 21, a Boca Raton based non-profit program of support, education, and skills training for young adults with special needs.
